Biodiversity in Monterey Bay Sanctuary Painting Party

This year for Biodiversity Week, Reef Renders is collaborating with CA state parks and many local naturalists to bring Monterey Bay's wildlife into your hands with a painting party!

Paint your own 3D-printed model inspired by iconic animals found in our local parks & beaches. As you paint, you'll discover their remarkable features while making each model your own with an array of vibrant paints to choose from.

No painting experience is necessary, admission cost covers all materials provided and all skill levels are welcome.

Included with online admission:

  • 1x unpainted animal figurine of your choice

  • all of your painting supplies

  • decorative flocking for bases

15% of proceeds from admission will go towards the CA State Parks, Asilomar State Beach resources.

  • Nudis n Brewskis / Painting Workshops

    This is a painting event, but instead of a blank canvas, you have a replica Nudibranch that you can paint! If you never painted a miniature, you’ll be surprised with how good it will turn out. Each model is shaped and textured with beginners in mind. I’ll also be present helping you with tips!

    Every time I release a new species of Nudibranch, I hold a painting workshop to celebrate, and attendees get first pick at the models.

  • Weekly Live Streams

    Every Thursday from 6:00pm-8:00pm (PST)

    We cover a a range of topics in 3D arts. Every stream is different. Ranging from painting a miniature, to rigging a 3D model. Sometimes I will have a guest come on stream. If you have a question and are in need of a tutorial, feel free to ask and that can be a stream as well!

  • Nudibranch Planters! Paint n' Plant!

    Are you a fan of Succulents and Nudibranchs? Have you ever wanted to combine the two together? Well thanks to 3D arts, it is now a reality! Gill Circlets and Bronchial Plumes can now exist in the form of 2 inch succulents that can be planted in these 3D Printed Nudibranchs. The planter can also hang thanks to a custom hardware slot underneath to fit most 4mm hardware! The models are a larger PLA version from the original soy models and carefully looked over to retain as much detail as the actual species. As always, if you never painted a 3D model, you will still do great! The larger model allows accessibility for easier painting control. This is a variation of the painting party where you can also pot your succulent after!
